inpUTS Educational Access Scheme
If you are applying for a place at UTS and you have been disadvantaged in your education by a disability or long term illness you may be eligible for entry through the inpUTS Educational Access Scheme.
Educational Access Scheme applications are received and assessed by the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) (open an external page). inpUTS applicants need to make standard applications in addition to applying for inpUTS.
UTS has arranged a welcome for inpUTS and Special Admissions students during Orientation. It will be held on:
- Friday, 13 February
- 10 am until 1 pm
- Building 10 on Harris Street at the City campus
There will be an opportunity to meet in faculty groups with an academic from your faculty and Peer Networkers, experienced students from your course or a similar one. There will be an optional workshop on academic writing at the ELSSA Centre in the afternoon.
The University has appointed Academic Contacts in each Faculty for students who come in through inpUTS or Special Admission. They are available to advise you about your subject load or any difficulties you are having in your course.
Most of these academic staff are also Academic Liaison Officers, which means they are responsible for approving assessment arrangements students with disabilities and students who are primary carers.
