The special needs service provides consultations to discuss your learning, assessment and related needs while studying at UTS including:

  • Confidential interviews about how the university can provide learning and assessment arrangements appropriate to your course and the impact of your disability or ongoing illnesses on your studies.

  • Development of recommendations for learning and assessment adjustments for your Academic Liaison Officer (ALO) (with your agreement and in consultation with you).

  • Development of a statement for academic staff about the impact of your disability or ongoing illnesses (with your agreement and in consultation with you).

  • Referrals - Special needs staff have links to relevant services within UTS and externally. They can give you information about these services and make referrals on request.
