U:PASS Leaders

• Are senior students who have gained high marks in that particular subject and perform well overall academically.
• Are carefully selected not only for academic ability but for good interpersonal skills.
• Are ‘model students’ who can show you methods of study which have been important for their own success.
• Are fully trained in how to implement the U:PASS program.
• Are not tutors, and as such they will not teach the other members of the group or be involved in any assessment.
• Will facilitate discussion, show you more effective ways to problem-solve, and provide you with activities and resources designed to improve your learning skills.
• Assist students to become active independent thinkers.
