The Network Cafe program
Network Cafe is a free program that brings new students from overseas together with experienced UTS students (Peer Networkers) to help them settle into Sydney and the UTS community.
Network Cafe is made up of a diverse group of UTS students who are linked by:
- their interest in extending their social network on and off-campus
- participating in cultural exchange, and
- sharing the wealth of knowledge and support available within the UTS community.
Joining the Network Cafe program will ensure that new students from overseas have someone to:
- answer their questions
- share tips on local culture
- practice new language skills with, or
- just hang out with.
We meet every Thursday from 4 to 5pm (during semester) for a free coffee and chat at the Concourse Cafe (Level 3, Tower Building).
There are plenty of other opportunities to socialise with other students in the program as we also offer many special events such as indoor and outdoor games, short trips around the city, etc.
