Our doctors

Dr Beena Chaugule MB BS

Beena's clinical interests include women's and family medicine, drug and alcohol issues, and wholistic and traditional approaches to medicine that emphasise healthy lifestyle.

She is currently undertaking a Masters in Public Health and is a surveyor with an Australian General Practice accreditation agency.

She has worked for many years as a GP and has experience in a hospital-based accident and emergency department.

She has keen interest in yoga and surfing.

Dr Julie Gottlieb MB BS

Julie has a clinical interest in family planning and women's health.

For several years she has also held a part-time position as a Medical Adviser with the Health Care Complaints Commission, and has been appointed an examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

She is a keen painter in her spare time and has had regular exhibitions of her work at the Holdsworth and Delmar Galleries.

Dr Albert Ling MB BS, FRACGP

Albert is a younger doctor who is happy to talk about pretty much anything.

He has been appointed as an examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practicioners.

He enjoys music, the outdoors, travel and an occasional beer.

Dr Richard Thambyah MB BS

Richard holds a Masters in Public Health and has a great commitment to and interest in indigenous health issues.

He has clinical interests in cardiovascular and renal (kidney) health, adolescent health issues and health issues associated with alcohol and other drug use.

Treatment and education issues for people with diabetes has also been another great interest.
