About the financial assistance service
The financial assistance service can assist a UTS student who is currently enrolled in an award course in a number of ways:
- Interest-free student loans for international and local students with small-item (up to $500), short-term cashflow problems
- Emergency cash for the immediate crises (up to $50)
- Information on equity-based scholarships and grants available from UTS
- Budgeting assistance
- Advice and financial assistance for local students having difficulties with continuing your studies because of financial hardship
- Computer recycling for students on a low-income with substantiated needs
- Advocacy on Centrelink (opens an external site) student income payment benefits
- Putting you in touch with external professionals, agencies, financial counsellors, ombudsmen, welfare rights groups.... when comprehensive assistance is required
