My Plan:
- To avoid future exclusion understand Rule 10-7.4. - your OBLIGATIONS while on Academic Caution (and 10.7.5). Knowing my obligations will help me stay on track.
http://www.gsu.uts.edu.au/rules/10-7.html - In line with legislation, this is an early warning, especially for overseas students who are in danger of not meeting MRP. Work out what to do to improve performance. By making changes now, avoid the possibility of exclusion at the end of next semester.

http://www.uts.edu.au/international/study/progress.html - My final school year/previous studies weren't an adequate preparation for the course I chose. Check out Faculty resources, Learning Assistance Centres, and Bridging courses to see what can help towards successful completion.

Recommended session(s) to register: 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 - I think I'm in the wrong course. Take steps to sort this out. Talk with the UTS Careers Service. Make contact with an Academic Adviser. To change courses, refer to http://www.sau.uts.edu.au/enrolment/continuing/internalcoursetransfers.html. In the meantime, try and maintain academic progress. A good academic record makes it is easier to transfer from one course to another. Consider seeing a counsellor if ambivalence is impacting upon motivation to study.

http://www.handbook.uts.edu.au/ - I was not able to keep up with the pace of material covered each week in lectures. Seek support early if unable to keep up. Start by going to the Faculty Office and ask if there is any additional instruction. Consider accessing extra tutoring from a senior student listed with the Students' Association.
www.ssu.uts.edu.au/peerlearing - I had too many subjects in my Study Plan. Find out the minimum number of subjects I can study and which subjects are pre requisites for future subjects. Make sure I'm doing the right ones. Review subject information in the Faculty Handbook. Go to the Faculty Office to discuss questions.
- The Faculty Office is the first point of call for all questions related to my Study Plan.
- The UTS Careers Service can help find out what career options can follow from my course.
http://www.careerdevelopment.uts.edu.au/choosing/index.html - I was not able to keep up with the pace of material covered each week in lectures. In future I'll seek assistance early because it will be much harder to catch up later. Start with speaking with my lecturer if possible. I'll ask whether my Faculty has a Learning Assistance Centre. I'll consider accessing extra tutoring from a senior student listed with the Students' Association.
http://www.sa.uts.edu.au/services/tutoring - The BELL site has some useful online help. You will see a link for contacting people below.
http://www.bell.uts.edu.au/ - I did not know about the resources available within the Faculty. Ask at the Faculty Office.
- I did not realise extra tutoring may have been available. Contact the Students' Association for information about Peer Tutoring.
http://www.sa.uts.edu.au/services/tutoring - I missed the Census date when I could have withdrawn without consequences from the subject. The census date is the last date to withdraw from a subject without academic or financial consequences. If I need to withdraw from a subject before the census date I'll go to "My Student Admin" and complete an online Variation of Program form. If serious disruptions arise after the census date I'll consider seeing a UTS counsellor.
