About the multi-faith chaplaincy

The chaplains have been invited by the University of Technology, Sydney to assist in the personal and spiritual growth of members of the University community and to foster an understanding of and appreciation for the diverse religious and spiritual life of the University community.

People of faith and no faith may seek a chaplain's support. The chaplains are committed to supporting all UTS students and staff through general care and support. All are welcome to the multi-faith events of the chaplaincy.

Our aim is to respond to the spiritual and pastoral needs of individuals and groups within the university according to the faith tradition of their choice and to encourage a spirit of understanding, acceptance and human values within the university culture.

UTS chaplains are trained and available to assist students and staff with the variety of challenges and problems that life presents. It is recognised that at times people will find it helpful to refer to leaders of their faith tradition.

The policy of respect for the individual's personal journey and the right to their personal beliefs is given high value by all participating chaplains. The service is free and confidential.
