Role of UTS Careers Service

The Careers Service provides a range of services to facilitate the Working Solutions placement:

• Assist host employers prepare job descriptions
• Advertise Working Solutions opportunities to students currently studying at UTS
• Co-ordinate the selection process and provide a pool of suitable Working Solutions matches to the host employer
• Provide pre-placement preparation to students selected
• Develop students awareness of the expectations of the host employer
• Be available to both the host employer and student during the placement period to ensure that the placement is proceeding according to expectations
• Provide students with insurance coverage whilst on placement. Students who participate in the Working Solutions Program are insured for Public Liability, Personal Injury and Professional Indemnity through UTS at no cost
