Using the internet in your job search

The internet is a valuable tool to find work.

The Careers service maintains an online jobs vacancy service where you can search for current vacancies (login required).

Net That Career is an interactive database of employment related web sites organised by discipline area. The web sites listed can provide information on topics such as directories of employers, salary information, labour market information, graduate profiles etc.

Many organisations advertise job vacancies on their web sites; bookmark those organisations that you are interested in working for and regularly visit their site. Job noticeboards advertise large numbers of jobs, for example:
