Plan your career
What can you do to make the most of your time at university? Most students want to find a suitable graduate job if it is their first course of study or to improve job prospects or change careers if they are returning to study. Career planning is thinking ahead about what outcome you want at the end of your studies to ensure that you have both:
- well developed knowledge and skills gained through your course of study and
- additional experiences, capabilities and contacts that will help you to be a competitive candidate.
Both need your attention. What differentiates a competitive candidate is the self understanding and focus gained through engaging in both study and additional experiences and activities during your time at university.
